Beth Dress
What kind of garment is the Beth dress?
When making this dress pattern I was thinking of a relaxed silhouette as well as a leisurely wear occasion on a spring or summer day. The Beth dress is a midi length dress pattern. You can see gathered detailing in the side seam area and from the hip line. The hip yoke piece serves to highlight and visually flatter this area. The center front closes with a long row of buttons. This closure could easily be replaced by a zipper if you want to get a more street style dress as well as use more urban fabrics such as gabardine twill or denim.
Beyond the representation I have given it by making this prototype in a linen fabric the pattern has potential in many different styles.
