Denisse Tweed Jacket

What kind of garment is the Denisse jacket?

This is a jacket pattern for the person who enjoys the sewing process!
In true Parisian style, this jacket pattern is perfect for sewing on tweed style fabrics. It is a jacket with a formal fit but gives off a casual air. The fit of this jacket is close fitting, not to wear thick garments underneath but to form a perfect ensemble with a delicate blouse underneath.

This jacket does not have a button placket. If you want to add a closure it should be a zipper or hook and eye style.

It is important to note that some traditional dressmaking techniques are used to sew this jacket. For example in the sewing video it is shown how to line the jacket by hand. You should take this into account before buying the pattern as you will have to sew the whole lining by hand unless you prefer to do it in a different way and therefore you already have the necessary previous knowledge to be able to do it.

Using a tweed type fabric will achieve a chic and couture inspired style, however you can achieve a much more casual style by using fabrics such as twill gabardine or faux pleather.
